Queensland Band Association Youth Camp culminates in a final concert with musicians from all over the state. They present a free concert following an intensive four-day music camp so come along and hear the best of Queensland Youth brass players in concert in the beautiful grounds of Mt Coot-tha gardens. Bring a picnic rug to the bandstand lawn and let them entertain you.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by watching the sun set over the Brisbane River while you enjoy the spectacular view over the city. Before the city warms up to Friday evening, take some time to enjoy some big band jazz after work at the Maritime Museum with music by the fabulous Brass Roots Live. Free tickets via Eventbrite.

Saturday 15 February
It’s Valentine’s weekend and Sunnybank Brass with vocalist Izabella Cihajic will serenade you at sunset with romantic jazz standards and beautiful ballads. There will be a swing dance class for anyone keen to participate. The café and bar will be open so enjoy your music with a glass of wine and a meal.

Sunday 26 February
Join the local community for a day in the park at Bracken Ridge hosted by Bracken Ridge Central Lions Club. Come and join the locals for a sausage sizzle, market stalls, live music from Brisbane Citizens Band and a ride on a real steam train.
