Victory to the people! The War is over, and the spirit of Jazz remains triumphant. The South East Queensland Big Band presents a Swinging Victory, a tribute to the Big Bands and radio legends of the World War 2 era. You’ll hear works of the jazz greats of the 1930s and 40s, who took their instruments and music to the front with them to boost the morale of troops and loved ones back home.

A citizenship ceremony will commence at 10.30am in the historic Nudgee School of Arts hall and all other entertainment including a jumping castle along with presentations from local schools and musicians commencing at 11.30am.
