Join us for a captivating morning as the strings take centre stage at The Edge!

Enjoy performances by the Hillbrook String Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, and String Quartet, featuring a vibrant mix of classical favourites, cinematic themes, and contemporary works. From the stirring drama of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 to the adventurous spirit of Pirates of the Caribbean and the sweeping beauty of The Lord of the Rings, the program also shines a light on the evocative sounds of the guitar ensemble, with atmospheric works like Nebulae and Echoes of Rain Shadows.
Relax and be transported by the shimmering sounds of Brisbane’s talented young musicians. Free event – all welcome!

Join the Queensland Wind Orchestra conducted by David Law for an afternoon of cinematic and classic brilliance.  You will be transported through the iconic soundtracks of some of the greatest films ever made from the sweeping scores of epic blockbusters to the artistry of orchestral classics.  Whether you're a movie lover or simply enjoy extraordinary entertainment, Movies and Masterpieces will leave you spellbound.  There will be afternoon tea and scones available for purchase as well as wine and cheese packs. Make it an afternoon out – invite family and friends for an afternoon at City Hall.  The concert is free but if you would like to sit and sip with a glass of wine and cheese plate, or enjoy afternoon tea and cake, then it’s just $10 per person.  Bookings can be made by calling  the Brisbane City Hall Concierge Desk on 0457 068 055
