Christmas concert in the Square! Experience the power of brass with the festival sounds of Sunnybank Brass joined by Tongan choir and various small brass ensembles. Music from 5-8pm King George Square Saturday 30 November.
You are invited to gather around the bandstand from 3-5pm with Brisbane Municipal Concert Band and Brisbane City Big Band followed by performances by the spectacular Queensland Show Choir with singalong carols and the arrival of Santa. Rotary Club of New Farm presents their annual Light Up Carols in the park from 5pm so join us for a late afternoon concert followed by carol singing under the stars. BMCB plays 3-4pm, BCBB plays 4-5pm followed by Light Up Carols in the park. There will be sausage sizzle, singalong carols and Santa.
Glorioso! at St Brigid's Red Hill
Let Bayside Brass and the St Brigid's Choir welcome you to an afternoon of free Brass, Organ and Choral music at the iconic St Brigid's Church at Red Hill. This magnificent venue known to Brisbane locals as 'the big church on the hill' has a stunning outlook over the city. The glorious towering timber roof structure provides a unique venue for this afternoon concert in our Summer Series of events. Bayside Brass will perform alongside the St Brigid's Choir and accompanied by Roland Bartkowiak at the St Brigid's Pipe Organ. This event features accessible music that aims to synergise with the venue and its unique acoustics. A true variety event, there is something for everyone from hymns to waltzes, and light entertainment music. We welcome you all to enjoy something a little different, and celebrate community music making.

Gallipoli Barracks welcomes home the 7th Combat Brigade after overseas deployment. The army base will be open to the public from 12 midday to ticket holders (this is a free ticketed event) and there will be military displays throughout the afternoon, culminating with a Beating Retreat Military parade at 5pm and a combined performance with Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra. Experience 1812 Overture with canons and fireworks finishing at 6:30pm. Featuring Band of the 1st Regimenty, Royal Australian Artillery, Australian Army Band Brisbane and Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestral.

The Amadeus Orchestra performs operatic favourites in the historic halls of Old Government House. Bring the family, have brunch at the historic coffee shop, take a tour of Old Government House and enjoy an hour of orchestral splendour with the buoyant and exuberantly entertaining small orchestra with the big sound.

Carnivale spirit hits Brisbane with the region's premier Caribbean music extravaganza. Steelbands from across Australia and New Zealand converge on Rocklea Showgrounds with a carnival parade, Caribbean food, public workshops, individual and massed steelband performances and a fantastic Carnival night. Featuring Brisbane's own Rivercity Steel Band performing over the weekend.
Be prepared for some Pomp and Circumstance as City Hall auditorium transforms into Royal Albert Hall for Lunchtime at the Proms. It doesn't get more British than an Englishman with a baton presenting singalong favourites like Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory. Bring your best voice for flag-waving favourites in a concert bursting with British classics and prepare to be amazed by the Queensland Conservatorium Brass Band conducted by Howard Taylor with guest soloist Izabella Chihajic.

Enjoy a very special evening at the Queensland Maritime Museum with the river, sunset, the city lights, the warm night folding around you, icy drinks, delicious canapes and....the Royal Australian Navy Band Queensland, HMAS Moreton over 20 musicians under the baton of bandmaster Mike Vaughan playing cool tunes and hot jazz. Sinatra, Buble, Swing with vocalists Leading Seaman Jemma Tilly and Able Seaman Mark Jozinovic.
