It’s Italian Week in Brisbane with music that celebrates Italy, from traditional folk tunes to sweeping operatic themes featuring Brisbane Municipal Concert Band and Sempre Voce, and Brisbane Brass.
Painting Brisbane green, white and red – It’s ‘An Italian Affair’ Brisbane will become a sea of Italian-themed festivities for the ninth edition of Italian Week, with the the ‘An Italian Affair’. An exciting Italian Street festival will be held at the historical New Farm Park on Sunday 31 May, from 11am until 6pm.
A delightful family event, the day will feature all the wonderful offerings of Italy such as delicious Italian food and wines, operas, bands, children’s activities, Italian cars and much more. Throughout the course of the day at this FREE ENTRY event, close to 100 performers will entertain the crowds. New Farm Park was traditionally very Italian. It is the 100th anniversary of the rotunda in the park in 2015, so this will be a perfect way to mark the occasion.
